April Spellbinders | PageMaps

Hello April! It's that time of month when I show off my latest PageMaps/Spellbinders layout. I kind of went wild with the Spelldiner's That's the ticket die. I swapped out the hexagon idea on the sketch with the ticket stubs.

Take note of the circular layered pieces under the chipboard and brads. They are the star-burst tag from the Spellbinder's Charmed I'm Sure set. The simple scallop border was done with one of the On the Edge border dies.

I was going for a graduated color effect with the ticket stubs so I went crazy with my scraps on this layout. I keeps all kinds of scraps you never know when you might use them on a layout or card. There was so many pieces on this layout I hope I didn't leave anything out of my supply list.

Thanks for stopping by today I am going to take advantage of our wonderful pacific NW weather and get a little vitamin D. Happy Crafting:)

If you don't get it in print it is always available to download for free and the Scrapbook & Cards Today website.I hope you get a change to take a look at the issue I am super proud of my work that is featured. The adorable cover was designed by my friend Laura Vegas and the cover model is non other than Devon (hope I am spelling that right), Miss Vicki Boutin's darling little girl.

I can remember the first time I got my hands on a physical copy of Scrapbook & Cards Today there is nothing else out there like it. It's quality is stellar. All week long SCT is hosting a birthday party on the blog showing off tons of projects and giving away tons of goodies. Make sure you stop by and get in on all the action.

What would a birthday celebration be without a few cards. Here are several celebratory cards I made for Lily Bee.

Back from a little break with a little Jillibean Soup

Well hello blog-land. Yes I have been ignoring you not on purpose. I simply am buried under mounds of paper and I just have let blogging slide.

Today I have a layout from the March Jillbean Soup Designer Challenge. This month's challenge was use as many patterned papers on one layout or project as you can. I specifically zeroed in on the idea of featuring as many collections on one layout as I could. I used 12 different patterned papers from different collections going back to Monster Stew.

It's great how the old Jillibean Soup can so seamlessly be blended with the new lines. So if you have been hoarding that Jillibean I challenge you to break it out and mix it with some of the newer lines. Make sure you check out the Jillibean Soup blog to see how every one else tackled this challenge.

March Colour Suite

Hello crafters and welcome to the March Colour Suite a monthly colour challenge I put together for my friends at Scrapbook & Cards Today. This month's colour inspiration was green. After reviewing my past challenges I noticed it had been a while since I used green so this is where I began.

The stars on this layout were cut from the stamp My Minds Eye patterned paper that I used to cut my large quote title from. The focus quote/title has grown to be one of my favorite things to do on my pages. I even have an entire Pinterest board called words to scrap that is dedicated to phrased I want to use on projects someday.

This month I invited my friend and fellow designer Vicki Boutin to make a layout inspired by this month's Colour Suite. Colour is so very subjective and I love seeing how other people translate my vision. Make sure you check out her blog

Thanks for joining me today for the February Colour Suite. To read
more about this challenge or to check out my past challenges don't
forget to make your way over to the Scrapbook & Cards Today website and Blog
